Derek Siesser – The Professional

The road to being who I am today began years ago with countless hours of hard work and dedication. I’ve earned the respect in this business by dedicating myself to the game and the members of the clubs that I am a part of.  My love for the game began as a twelve year old on a cold, blustering day. I can still vividly remember my first shot, a 3-wood that went dead straight, 200 yards down the fairway. I also recall the next 9 shots which went a combined 40 yards.  From that moment on, I fell in love with the pursuit of the unattainable, perfection within the game. That passion for playing the game led me to earn golf scholarships at St. Martin’s University, collegiate national championships, and high finishes at the states most prestigious tournaments. My aspiration for playing introduced me to my second love, Instruction. After learning the basics of instruction, I began building my reputation and skills by assisting teammates, coaches or patrons at the range with their games.  Once in the PGA program, I latched onto regionally and nationally renowned instructors. By observing their methods and integrating my own beliefs, experiences and education, I was ultimately able to develop my own style of golf instruction. Today, I look forward to every student I interact with and the opportunity to help them find a way to make golf a better game.
